Waiting list

Total price includes the Holding Deposit

Holding Deposit

We require a holding deposit

In order to ensure serious buyers from people who are still shopping around, we require a holding deposit. This is included in the total price of your puppy but I’d required to be added to our waiting list or to reserve a puppy that is already born (where we stop advertising it). The holding deposit is non-refundable and therefore should only be placed by individuals who are committed to us as their breeder and ready to commit to one of our puppies.

Waiting List – as of today isn’t full yet, people haven’t picked yet! Availability listed in The Nursery!

  1. Heartland Danes or Stud Owner
  2. Doug (WA) -inactive
  3. April (MA) -inactive

How it works

Once a holding deposit is placed and you are added to our waiting list, the spot never expires. You can be added as early in the planning process as you would like and camp out as long as you would like. That being said, many spots towards the top of the waiting list are held by people who are waiting a while to add a puppy to their family. They just want a top pick of their litter when they are ready. A longer waiting list does not reflect puppy availability from each litter that is born.

Picking a Puppy

Heartland Danes and/or the Stud/Bitch Owner (if we use an outside stud or guardian home female) reserve the right for first pick of every litter. Sometimes when we use an outside adult the contract will state that they get first and third pick etc. Each litter and the availability is dependent on the pairing and conditions surrounding the breeding. Pet families will get to pick in the order that deposits are received/they are added to the waiting list. Picks can start as early as one week post birth or as late as six weeks old, depending on conditions from all breeding partners involved. We understand everyone is excited for their puppy and we try to streamline this process as much as possible. Once picks begin, you have 24 hours to debate among family and friends to finalize your pick.

Disclaimer:

If you are on our waiting list, and decline to pick from available puppies for one year, you will be considered Inactive. Your spot will not expire and you will continue to move up the list, but you will be responsible for reaching back out to us and clearly communicating when you are ready to pick from our next availability. An “inactive” label will be put next to your name on the list above. This prevents holding up the pick process for active families excited to makes their picks. We have been ghosted by inactive families in the past and our number one priority is to get puppies matched with their families.
